4th of July

For Bryson's first 4th of July, we took him up to Cades Cove for a picnic. We had a picnic with Kiki, Papaw, Nana, Popa and Aunt Emily.

This was Bryson's bath right before we left for his first beach trip to Hilton Head Island. We split the trip on the way down into two days, three hours the first day and then four hours the next. He did fine on the way down. Our trip home was not as peaceful, however. We left Hilton Head at 10am and got home at 9:30pm; a seven hour trip was turned into an eleven hour trip!!!! Needless to say, Bryson did not like sitting in his car seat on the way home.

This was Bryson's first putt-putt game. He slept most of the time. It rained on us and Mommy beat Daddy!! :)

This was Bryson's first day on the beach. Apparently while we were there, for the first time in 20 years, Hilton Head had sticks all over the beach. It was unfortunately not very pretty, but still nice.

Clinton now lives in Savannah, so one night he met us for dinner because Hilton Head is only about 30-45 mins from Savannah.

On this trip, Bryson became very alert and started looking at the animals on his bouncy seat. He would love to sit in the seat and talk to his "Woodland Friends" as we call them.

Labor Day Weekend

On Labor Day weekend we took Bryson to the Smoky Mountains. This was in the car on the way up to the mountains.

We saw six bears while when we went around the loop. This bear was a little too close for comfort.

At Heather Myrick's wedding, there were cookies that the guest could decorate. It was so much fun! I made several cookies, but this was the best one!

Mother's Day

The second Sunday that Bryson was home was Mother's Day. He was the best Mother's Day present I could ever ask for! I also got a pedicure from my Mom and Dad for Mother's Day. Drew and Bryson got me a gift certificate to get a pedicure and manicure. If you cannot tell, I like pedicures! :)

On this Mother's Day, the church had Baby Dedication Day. So, Drew and I took week old Bryson to the church, went up on stage, then came back home.

Bryson's First Softball Game

This was Bryson's first softball game, he was only 3 weeks old! Bryson's Aunt Chelsea bought him this adorable little baseball out fit to wear to his Daddy's games.

This was the first day Bryson came home. Karson was so excited to hold him. She had come with Brandy to the hospital when he was born, but there was a sign posted saying she was too young to come back to the room. She was very upset because she wanted to "hold baby Bryson." So, as soon as we got home, we called Brandy so Karson could come over and see him.

Bryson's Birthday

The day of the scheduled C-Section; this is the room we will bring baby Bryson home to!

I was not so sure about the surgery, but it looks like Drew was ready!

Bryson Andrew Ownby was born on 4/30/2009 at 9:03 am. He weigh 8lbs 10oz. and was 21 1/4 inches long. Bryson screamed for about the first two hours of his life, we was definately not ready to come out (I was a week and a half late)!
